Lidgard 40 ‘Stormtrooper’

Description

We are delighted to present a spectacular Lidgard 40. Based on the popular Fusion 40 design, STORMTROOPER was professionally built by ACM with safety, strength, and performance in mind. The use of carbon fibre has allowed extra strength in the design, as well as keeping the overall displacement down to enhance sailing performance.

Solid vinyl ester glass hulls below the waterline and vacuum bagged vinyl ester foam sandwich above the waterline. Bonded carbon fore beam, chainplates, rudders/shafts and prodder ensure weight is minimised fwd and aft. All internal hard furnishings are custom built from faired Duflex foam sandwich board further enhancing structural rigidity.

The list of must haves were dual Jefa steering wheels, daggerboards, escape hatches, laminated glass windows and 18m tall tapered Allyacht Spars mast with Qantum performance sails. Sails are trimmed with cockpit push buttons by Fleet Hydrol hydraulic rams making single handed sailing easy.

Stormtrooper has had no expense spared with professionally fitted electronics: Czone can bus electrical system, 740Ah of Mastervolt Lithium batteries, Mastervolt Inverter, 1KW of LG Neon solar panels, B&G Zeus 2 instruments including sonar and radar, Lewmar winches and hatches. Stormtrooper is immaculately fully faired inside and out with AWLGRIP 2 pack finish.

Stylish fittings and a Caesar stone benched galley are a stylist addition with two Tecma electric toilets for creature comfort. Stormtrooper has completed more than 5000 nautical miles including the rugged west coast of Tasmania.

Stormtrooper has just been slipped in August and antifouled with Jotan Seavictor 50 Antifoul, Propspeed on legs/propellers and full service on Yanmar 30 engines and legs.
