Our Stories
Rob Webber has a very good knowledge of the commercial and recreational industry in NZ. He has been with NZ Boat Sales since 2010, and has been involved in the commercial fishing and mussel industry since the early 1980s. Rob also has experience in the commercial gear supply industry. Rob was bought up on the family farm at French Pass and owned a number of boats both commercial and recreational, prior to joining NZ Boat Sales. Understanding the process of buying or selling is complex and he is very keen to assist clients with finding the right vessel.
Lin Ronald has extensive yachting and cruising experience. He built himself a 43ft yacht on the Timaru foreshore – a six year effort! He then pulled up the mainsail and sailed away on a lifelong adventure, including being shipwrecked on a deserted island for three weeks! He’s clocked up several thousand deep water sea miles under his own command and 20 years coastal chartering with his own sailboats, including starting up his own cruise business in Langkawi, Malaysia and moonlight chartering for six years in Thailand – skippering daily cruises for German, Japanese and other international guests.
Dean Hoare is a passionate Wellingtonian having a lifetime of boating experience in and around the Wellington region including his favourite place of all – the Marlborough Sounds. Over the years he has owned many boats, both power and sail. He currently enjoys cruising in his 14 metre launch “Infinito”. Dean is a member of the RPNYC and crews on a wild and wet racing trimaran.

Source and show appropriate boats for sale, then narrow down to a specific boat that suits the requirements exactly.
Culminate in organising and undertaking a sea trial, as well as pre-purchase structural, mechanical, and equipment inspections and checks.
Emphasis is placed on ensuring all new owners are comfortable with the buying process and the eventual operation and handling of their newly purchased craft.
