Listing Road Map
When the time comes to sell your launch, yacht, or commercial vessel, there is a clear pathway ahead. We work hard to ensure the process is smooth, with a strong focus on communication, transparency, and trust.
Below is a brief outline of the steps we will guide you through during the sales process:
- Make contact with an NZ Boat Sales broker located nearest to your vessel.
- Our preference is to meet with you, ideally onboard your vessel or at a location that suits you.
- Our broker will guide you through the listing process and complete two key documents:a) Listing Agreement (NZBS)b) Specifications & Inventory (NZBS)
- Before your vessel is listed, your broker will inspect it to:a) Gain first-hand knowledge of the vessel, its equipment, and overall condition.b) Take high-quality photographs for our website and marketing platforms, including Trade Me.
c) Complete an in-house Broker’s Vessel Report.
- Your broker will then provide the Listing Agreement and Specifications & Inventory documents for your review and approval, ensuring all information is accurate.
- Once approved, your broker will submit the completed documents and photographs to our website administrator for processing.
- Your vessel will then be prepared and published on the NZ Boat Sales website before being promoted across all agreed marketing platforms.
- After your listing goes live, your broker will contact you to review the presentation and confirm you are happy with the photographs and listing details.
- Throughout the campaign, your broker will maintain regular contact, keeping you informed of enquiries, inspections, and viewing appointments.
- The sales process is a journey, and your broker will be with you every step of the way until your vessel is successfully sold.
