KAHAROA: Purpose Built Coastal Survey Vessel

Description

KAHAROA is a purpose built coastal survey, fisheries research vessel with a proud history documented since her original launching in 1981. She’s completed a myriad of projects for NIWA since 2010 – as far afield as Chile to the east and Mauritius to the west. The vessel will be sold ready to work with the current maritime survey to be updated during June 2025, out of water in Nelson.

Deck Handling Equipment Includes:

• 1 x Haib 121 Seacrane
• 1 x A Frame 3.8 T Lifter
• 2 x Trawl Winches with 1500 metres trawl wire
• 1 x Norwinch Windlass
• 1 x Norwinch Net Drum
• 2 x Gilson Winches

Icehold capacity 270 cases, 8 Tonne

KAHAROA is offered for sale by tender. Tender offers may be submitted at any time. The vessel may be sold prior to the acceptance of any tender. All tender offers will be considered, and the highest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted
