Description

Eric Cox design “Searcher”. Well proven offshore vessel. Constructed in corten steel and launched 1965 from the renowned Scholten & Brijs yard, Wairau Creek, Auckland. Ford 60hp diesel, wheel steer with autopilot and windvane self-steering. Cutter masthead rig with mast steps, fully battened main with 130% furling genoa, spinnaker and storm sails. Beautifully crafted, spacious interior and salon fitout with large double berth forward (or 2 singles). 2 quarter berths aft plus salon berths. Well appointed galley with gas oven, fridge and freezer. Engine heated hot water system, ducted diesel cabin heater, 2 showers ( 1 in cockpit) and toilet with holding tank. Batteries are charged by 4 solar panels and 2 engine alternators. Electronics include Radar, GPS Plotter, Sounder, Log, VHF and SSB radios. Extensive range of cruising equipment includes dinghy and outboard, liferaft, EPIRB, danbuoy, harnesses…everything you need including a transferrable Nelson marina berth!
